Try the Sound Approach to pediatric therapy services: “Supportive, Optimistic, Understanding, Nurturing, Dedicated.” Sound Therapeutics is committed to providing the highest quality of therapeutic services to children of all ages. It offers speech, physical and occupational therapy; special education; and audiological services, including central auditory processing evaluations (CAP evaluations), in addition to mommy and me play groups. Sound Therapeutics is owned and managed by a licensed health care professional with over 15 years experience of pediatric experience, and therapists attend continuing education courses and specialized certification programs. Audiological evaluations are performed by a doctor of audiology who has specialized experience in the evaluation of children. Therapists are optimistic regarding the potential of each and every child receiving treatment. They are nurturing and caring in providing strategies and exercises for parents/caregivers to carry over outside of the regular treatment sessions. Children are considered unique individuals whose potentials are unknown, as they are constantly changing. Services may be provided in the home, nursery school and/or day care center, or at either the Miller Place or East Quogue treatment facilities. They are offered according to each child’s specific needs and are provided from Monday through Saturday. Registration for mommy and me play groups currently being accepted. Enrollment for summer arts and crafts groups also starting soon.
