Harbor Haven is a unique summer program, with locations in West Orange and Marlboro, designed for children with mild special needs. It is appropriate for children age 3-15 experiencing language, attention, social and motor delays. The program combines typical summer activities with academic and therapeutic components. The small, compatible groups boast a 1:3 or better staff to camper ratio, with a highly trained and professional staff. Some of the activities are: daily swimming, arts and crafts, nature, performing arts, yoga, karate, gymnastics, sports, cooking, computers, photography, mini-golf, special events, trips and more. In addition, children attend a daily learning period, which reinforces math, reading and other school skills. Social skills groups twice a week, as well as speech and occupational therapy groups are some of the special features of the program.
