The JCC of Mid-Westchester’s Special Needs Academic and Arts Center (SNAAC) offers unique, diverse and fun enrichment programs for children with ADHD, speech/language delays, learning disabilities, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDD and other social and emotional problems. With a faculty of nurturing special educators and therapists, SNAAC has quickly become the only program in Westchester to offer such a diverse range of programming on weekdays and Sundays for children in pre-K through grade 6. Small classes and a warm, nurturing atmosphere allow SNAAC children to succeed at many new activities. Self-esteem is cultivated, creativity encouraged and friendships developed through the social skills based program. One of SNAAC’s most popular and successful programs is SIBSHOP, which offers peer support and education for brothers and sisters of children with special needs. SNAAC also customizes birthday parties for special needs children.
