The YWCA of White Plains is the premier community center serving Westchester residents. From afterschool programs to fitness, aquatics and gymnastics, the YWCA offers a broad range of programs for youth from preschool through high school age. The YWCA’s licensed children’s programs meet the needs of young children and their families. Early Childhood programs include the Child Care Center, Nursery School, Preschool Enrichment (where children are introduced to languages, science and math) and Early Morning Supervision, and are led by a caring staff in an environment where every child is valued. Programs support social interaction, emotional growth, physical development and creative expression. Parents gain from the YWCA’s expertise and knowledge, and can participate in various parenting workshops. Parents can also augment their preschooler’s day with a variety of aquatics, fitness and gymnastics classes geared toward young children. From learning to swim; participating in ballet, martial arts and wee fit offered through their fitness program; or joining a gymnastics class for wonderful movement and tumbling activities, the YWCA has a rich array of activities for the preschooler.
