Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus adjacent to Adelphi University, The Waldorf School of Garden City is a college preparatory, coeducational, independent day school offering classes from early childhood through grade 12. Age-appropriate curriculums are designed to develop the whole child— physically, emotionally and intellectually— and aim to maximize the potential capabilities of each child at each stage of his or her development. Teachers foster genuine enthusiasm for learning, respect for the world and a healthy sense of self. Extracurricular programs for older students include three seasons of sports, music and drama. Beginning in grade 3, each class takes an annual class trip to the school’s extension campus at Camp Glen Brook in southern New Hampshire.
