Tender Garden Early Childhood Learning Center offers preschool education classes for children ages 2-4. These classes meet two, three or five days a week for up to 2 hours and 50 minutes. It strives to give children the tools to learn, the confidence to reach potential, and the courage to achieve. The Learning Center believes children have their own distinct talents and abilities, and its program encourages them to explore the world and expand knowledge. This is accomplished in a nurturing atmosphere where teachers take an interactive role in guiding and presenting experiences and instruction. Children learn through play, and so play-based learning at this center ensures fun-filled days and the development of necessary preschool skills. The Learning Center provides children with academic preparation for kindergarten and the opportunity to develop social skills through active learning. The Learning Center features large, air conditioned classrooms, a fenced-in playground, gymnasium, auditorium, private bathrooms and computers. Its experienced and qualified staff comprises New York State Certified teachers who are also certified in CPR and First Aid. Classes at The Learning Center have a small teacher-to-student ratio and integrate New York Education Learning Standards. Hands-on learning is encouraged through monthly and weekly themes, language arts, arts and crafts, music, science, mathematics and social studies.
