A child’s most important years for social, emotional and intellectual development occur during their first five years. The Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center’s NYS licensed Nursery School is dedicated to providing individual growth through meaningful group experiences. Infant and toddler programs, including movement and music, offers children and their care givers the opportunity to bond while interacting with others. Pre-school classrooms are designed to stimulate the imagination and creativity while teachers provide a warm and nurturing feeling. For working parents, the Suffolk Y also offers a Day Care Center for children 3 months-4½ years. The NYS licensed Day Care offers parents the comfort of knowing their children are being cared for by nurturing, trained staff. Swimming lessons, gym instruction (for 3s and 4s) as well as music and hot lunches add to the variety the Y has to offer.
