Painted Pony Playhouse means having the safety of a child care facility with the individual setting of a loving, caring, old fashioned schoolhouse. A completely separate home is attached to main house. Painted Pony offers a safe, child-friendly environment without adult furnishings or worries. There are three separate rooms for age-appropriate children’s play and preschool-quality learning. Ages 6 weeks through 12 years are welcome. Healthy meals and snacks are served, and special diets are accommodated. Children enjoy weekly themes, barbecues and picnics. All activities are provided on two, well-maintained acres conveniently located half a mile south of the Long Island Expressway between exits 63 and 64. Additionally available is a special program for school-age children interested in learning about horses and their care. Light riding instruction is available. There are two, separate, fenced play yards: one for toddlers and one for older children. Although there is no pool, there’s still plenty of water fun, outside activities, games and sports.
