Have you ever found yourself searching for answers to questions about pregnancy, parenting or adoption and unsure about where to turn? Are you a professional who works with clients facing unplanned pregnancy or interested in making an adoption plan, yet you find yourself at a loss for an appropriate referral? The Nassau County Adoption Information Line can help! The Nassau County Adoption Information Line is a clearinghouse for information and referrals related to pregnancy and adoption for parents, adoptees and professionals. It is staffed by a veteran adoption professional with a wealth of experience in the Nassau community and beyond. Coordinated by Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children, this service is provided through the support of the Nassau County Department of Health and the County Executive’s Common Sense for the Common Good Initiative. You can receive assistance with issues ranging from free prenatal services for low-income residents to exploring domestic and international adoption. The Information Line is in operation Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-4pm. Messages left after regular business hours are checked daily and returned promptly.
