Introduce your child to the magical world of music with Musikgarten! This innovative music and movement program is designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers with their parent or caregiver. Seperation optional for music makers and keyboard classes. Musikgarten provides a haven for music making through exploration of instruments, singing, listening, movement and imaginative play. Instructor Vernita Kenney is a certified early childhood music educator with more than 25 years of experience. Her love of children and music caused her to seek out and present this extraordinary program. Whether its through a red scarf moving through the air, a rhythm stick tapping out a simple beat or a small hand beating on a drum, Musikgarten uses simple methods to get children interested in music. The program’s goals of playing, imagining, feeling, expressing and learning for children are successfully obtained through music and movement. Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities that enhance overall development, decrease learning disabilities and enhance brain functioning during a critical period for the development of many competencies in life— in an environment that is active and joyful.
