At Messiah Lutheran Preschool, children are embraced and encouraged in a loving, Christian environment on a daily basis. Three and 4 year olds prepare to enter the world by engaging in a variety of activities that help them grow physically, socially, emotionally and mentally. Through well-balanced activities and materials, they strengthen their fine and motor skills while broadening their knowledge of the world. It is the philosophy of the Preschool to allow children to explore, experiment and satisfy their curiosities through organized play. The program follows a thematic approach that includes language arts, math, science, music, arts and crafts, cooking experiences, field trips and monthly activities. Along with an enrichment program, the school is offering the new Lunch Bunch program, which meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-1:30pm and is open to 3 and 4 year olds. Children bring their own lunch to eat, and the program is designed to strengthen social, self-help and communication skills. In addition to the Preschool, children enjoy Vacation Bible School each summer. Each year follows a different theme, and it runs in the mornings for one week at the end of June. During the months of July and August, Messiah also conducts a Summer Fun recreational program for children ages 3-8, open to all members of the community.
