Not only is learning another language fun, but research studies show that children who learn language at an early age also benefit in all their other academic subjects, and that linguistic skills are most easily acquired during childhood. This September, Long Island Language Center is offering several age and level appropriate classes in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German and Sign Language for children as young as 3 months through adults! Your child will learn a new culture and language in a warm and relaxed atmosphere while gaining confidence. Their Bilingual Preschool will prepare 3 and 4 year old children for kindergarten while teaching them Italian! The 2½ hour program is designed to teach the fundamental basics of letter recognition, color, shapes, numbers, science and mathematical concepts through well-designed activities and of course— Italian! The program also includes learning about Italian culture, field-trips, guests, holiday shows, a Sign Language month and a graduation ceremony. Since children learn best when having fun, LI Language Center’s certified and experienced teachers engage children through songs, visuals, rhymes, food, puppets, stories, dance, animations, games and crafts.
