Little Wonders is a personalized early childhood program located in a lovely turn-of-the-century building nestled in the village of Carmel. Little Wonders’ spacious classrooms offer areas for dramatic play, arts and crafts, science exploration, block building, math discovery, and fine and gross motor development. The program has a fully equipped, fenced-in play yard and an elaborate teaching garden. Little Wonders believes in the concept that young children learn best through play, sensory exploration and their social interactions. At Little Wonders, children will explore a variety of safe, creative, age-appropriate activities that will appeal to their unique styles of learning. Little Wonder’s thematic curriculum is designed to help children develop autonomy while they learn to become confident members of the group. The curriculum provides a balance between challenges and success to create a love of learning that lasts a life time! The director, Laura K. Ball, has a master’s in early childhood education and holds her Permanent N-6 Teaching Certification. Little Wonders provides quality childcare year round from 8:30am-4:30pm (with 7am-8:30am and 4-6pm options) for children ages 2-5 years, two, three or five days a week. Enrollment is limited to 15 children with a teacher to child ratio of 1:5. Drop-off services are offered based on daily availability for the school day, and Friday and Saturday night babysitting services are offered most weekends for an additional hourly fee.
