The Little School House at Driftwood aims to meet the needs of children of all ages by embracing and encouraging them as they develop into bright, well-adjusted students. Under the direction of Janice Nacht, the new school is complete with all brand-new equipment, country furniture, and the finest educational toys on the market. Registration is now in progress for a full nursery program for 2, 3 and 4 year olds for the 2008-2009 school year. Full-day, am and pm options are available for each age group, as is bus transportation for an additional fee. Check out the school’s various Mommy and Me classes, such as “Little School,” “Baking 101” and “Music, Art and Storytime,” for children ages walking-18 months, 18-24 months, and 2-3 years. Cooking, art and science “On My Own classes” are also offered for kids ages 3-8 years. Classes run in consecutive, 11-week sessions. Registration is ongoing and pro-rated. Also take advantage of The Little School House’s Drop and Shop babysitting service, Monday-Friday, noon-3pm. Pre-registration is required.
