The first years of your child’s life are the most important for their development. Children need the benefits of early intervention to give them the skills to succeed, as they mature at varying rates during these years of enhanced growth and development. The primary educational goal of Kids First Creative Learning Center is to build self-esteem and self-confidence in a warm, supportive, nurturing environment. Learning is promoted through an infusion of language, hands-on activities and social skills training. Language and social skills are enhanced by using a thematic approach to learning. Hands-on projects in the area of math, science and social studies are intertwined with an infusion of language, literacy, art, music, drama, dance and play. The curriculum includes circle time, creative arts, computer activities, fine motor activities, hands-on science activities, introduction to Spanish and French, math and reading centers, outdoor playground, play centers, and social studies. All programs are taught by New York State Master Level Certified Early Childhood Educators. Each classroom will benefit from the addition of a speech therapist, social worker, occupational therapist and a physical therapist. Further offerings include Special Event Days, such as Circus Day, Birthday Celebrations, Grandparents Day, Holiday Celebrations, Parent-Child Breakfast, Superstar For-A-Day and more. Special Field Trips may include the Long Island Children’s Museum, Long Island Science Museum, animal farms, picnic lunches, Safety Town and more. Kids First’s curriculum follows New York State Early Childhood Standards.
