All youngsters display undesirable behavior at one time or another. The ability to manage behavior in a positive manner is often challenging. This is especially true in today’s on-the-go culture. The behavior consultant provides a unique approach to helping families that are trying to raise their children who demonstrate challenging behaviors. Parents will be coached in the art of child behavior management. This concept is based on understanding the causes of inappropriate behavior such as refusing to follow directions, physical or verbal aggression towards peers and/or adults, showing disrespect and more. Parents will learn how to analyze their child’s behaviors and develop positive solutions, which will elicit feelings of being “back in charge.” Parents and children will be provided with behavior assessments, custom parent training, an individualized step-by-step guide, materials necessary for program implementation and program supervision. The services will be provided directly to you and your child with your collaboration. It’s simple, the behavior consultant goes where the behavior goes. So, if your need is direct observation at home, school, daycare, preschool, gym, playground, play groups, etc., the consultant will follow the behavior and develop an effective approach to reducing the problem while teaching your child new, appropriate alternatives.
