The Brotherhood Synagogue Nursery School currently offers programs for 2-, 3- and 4-year-old children. Children must be at least 2 years and 4 months old. Located adjacent to Gramercy Park at 20th Street, off Third Avenue, the school is accessible to many neighborhoods. The facility is new with three large classrooms as well as a private outdoor playground. The school is housed within the Brotherhood Synagogue in a historic Friends meeting house. Creating an oasis within the large city, the facility is ideal for young children, allowing them the opportunity for comfort, freedom and exploration. The nursery school is rooted in Judaism with Jewish traditions, values and experiences woven into the daily curriculum. Designed to include opportunities for large and small group experiences as well as a balance of active and quiet times, the program includes a full range of activities. With other preschoolers their age, children experience the joy of play and active learning while gaining confidence in developing skills and independence. Caring and dedicated teachers help nurture and guide the children as they grow socially, emotionally and cognitively.
