Bethpage Nursery School is a nonprofit, non-sectarian, parent cooperative preschool for 2-5 year olds. It is owned and administered by current parent members who participate on the Board of Directors, on committees and in their children’s classes. Since its inception in the 1950s, Bethpage Nursery has been a beacon for high quality early childhood programs and classes. Its educational program aims to foster social, emotional, intellectual and physical development in each student that passes through its doors. Parents of children attending the school are giving guidance and a chance to work together to achieve maximum success. Professional teachers at Bethpage Nursery are CPR certified and required to attend two in-service courses per year. The teaching staff, exhibiting a keen understanding of early childhood development, values parental involvement in the classroom. Children learn about art, math, science, social studies, literacy and music. Their social and emotional development are encouraged with the help of Bethpage Nursery’s caring and energetic staff.
