Write 2 Learn is a brand new occupational therapy facility created by two licensed occupational therapists. They specialize in evaluations and treatment of handwriting skills including gross motor, fine motor, visual perceptual and visual motor development for ages 3 and up. Delays in the visual perceptual and visual motor systems not only affect handwriting legibility and speed, but can cause number/letter reversals, difficulty with reading, spelling, math and overall organization. At Write 2 Learn, each child’s writing program is customized to target his or her specific needs at his or her own pace. Write 2 Learn use multi-sensory treatment protocols as all children have different learning styles. Writing is practiced with exploding paint, Jell-O, Kool-Aid, disappearing markers, shaving cream, flashlights, rocket ship pencils and much more! The center uses Handwriting Without Tears, which has received awards as one of the most effective handwriting programs in the country, and teaches how to hold a pencil correctly.
