St.
Vincent Martyr School is a coeducational, Catholic parish elementary
school that enrolls 400 students from 8 communities throughout New Jersey
and countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, Hungary, England, Argentina,
Spain and Venezuela. Founded in 1848 by Bishop McQuaid, the school is
recognized throughout the United States for its academic excellence,
average 18:1 student/teacher ratio, full day Kindergarten and honors
program. Recognizing Gods’ importance in the education process,
caring teachers provide a nurturing environment where each individual
is respected, loved and challenged to achieve his or her potential.
St. Vincent Martyr offers its students a challenging curriculum accredited
by the Middle Atlantic States Commission of Universities, Colleges and
Schools. Students are instructed in a variety of subject areas. Foreign
language begins in Kindergarten. Other programs which strongly develop
critical thinking skills are Advanced Math/Reading, Forensics, Cultural
Arts, Community Drama Program, Art & Music (instrumental and private),
Basketball, Golf, Track, Skiing, Choir Scouts, “Book Partner”
Mentoring program, etc. Each student attends Mass weekly and participates
