St. John’s Nursery School, provides a weekday Christian Education program for preschool children. Your child will be introduced to the joys of learning while attaining the necessary tools and skills needed to enter kindergarten. Along with a variety of programs, the school also offers an Extended Day/Child Care program for registered children. Teachers at St. John’s are certified in Early Childhood and several have earned their National Certification in Early Childhood. The student-teacher ratio is kept low to ensure individual attention. Students develop social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills according to each child’s individual level of readiness. While at “Learning Centers,” children enjoy hands-on learning activities. Centers include: science, math, water tables, dress-up and housekeeping centers, puzzles and reading and books on tape. Also included during their school session are storytime, crafts, music, outside play in two fenced-in playgrounds, an indoor gymnasium for rainy days, snack time, guest speakers and field trips. Classes are offered for children ages 2 - 5 years of age. They also feature a specialized class designed to meet the learning needs of the child who misses the cut-off for kindergarten or is “developmentally not ready” for kindergarten.
