Since
it was founded in 1993, the Rutgers Community Music Program has been
committed to offering private and group music instruction to students
of all ages in New Brunswick, Rutgers University and its surrounding
communities. RCMP today includes over 400 students and 50 faculty and
staff who together enjoy the benefits of studying and performing music
in a university setting. The dedicated, professional faculty encourages
students of all ages and levels to explore the world of music on their
chosen instrument. Private instruction is available on all instruments,
including strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and voice. Children
from newborn to seven years will discover a hands-on introduction to
music through singing, chanting, musical games and an array of age-appropriate
activities in RCMP’s “Kindermusik” programs. Students
are welcome to choose from an assortment of innovative group programs
such as String Instruction, Chamber Music, Music Theory, Guitar Ensemble,
Jazz Combo, Youth Orchestra and Voice Classes. Call the Rutgers Community
Music Program today at (732)932-8618 and request a brochure.
