New Jersey Rock Gym is the largest and most complete indoor rock climbing and bouldering gym in the NYC Metropolitan area. This state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facility featuring El Dorado walls was designed and engineered by experienced professionals for indoor sports climbing at all levels. Visitors to the impressive Rock Gym will discover sculpted climbing surfaces, 25 foot high walls, the largest indoor boulder in the northeast, exciting caves and tunnels, professionally set routes for all abilities, special programs for schools or groups and supervised instruction for beginner to advanced level climbers. Visitors can also take advantage of their fully-stocked pro shop that carries everything from shoes and harnesses to apparel. NJRG’s breathtaking main wall provides a variety of connections into numerous lead climbing possibilities. Children who want to climb regularly can learn climbing techniques and practice their climbing with trained instructors in the Gym’s “Junior Climbing Program.” The gym also provides special programs for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts conducted by BSA certified instructors, including the "Merit Badge" and "High Adventure" patch awards. Teenagers (15 and up) and adults who have little or no climbing experience can learn all of the basics of indoor rock climbing from climbing commands and knot-tying to safe belaying and lowering. Parents who want to make their child’s special day one that he or she will never forget can bring the kids and the cake to the gym’s exciting instructional birthday party programs for children 7 and up! NJRG even has party packages that offer refreshments. Children ages 4 - 6 can enjoy the special Adventure - Theme Program in the new Blue Sky Room created for young climbers!
