The Messy Artist offers classes for children from 18 months to 6th grade! Their traditional “Caregiver and Me” classes focus on learning through play and the process of art. Every class offers five different activities that children can explore at their own pace. Even your active two year old will enjoy it. As your child grows, so does the program. At each age the curriculum changes. The Messy Artist adds more structure and teaching of art techniques as children get older. At the age of 3, they start their drop-off program; however there is still an option for a caregiver and me class for 3 year olds. For pre-K - Kindergarteners, The Messy Artist offers a storybook art class, where they combine literacy and art. Kindergarteners and first graders can take an Art Foundations class where they will learn about perspective, shading and design while exploring a variety of art materials. First through third graders can join the Learning from the Masters Class where each week they will learn about a famous artist and the special techniques they used. The children will then create their own masterpiece using similar materials and techniques as the masters. For 4th through 6th graders, The Messy Artist is offering monthly Journeys in Art workshops.
