The Little Chief Learning Station is a high quality, early childhood program, providing a safe and nurturing environment, while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of your children. It is a family run business, with two locations in Middletown: Leonardo Campus and Lincroft Campus. They offer preschool programs for ages 2 through 5 years. Children are placed into class by age group. The cut-off date for each class is October 1st of the school year. There are morning or afternoon classes, two days (Tues./Thurs.) or three days (Mon./Wed./Fri./) per week. The center can provide limited extended care before or after class. If you require extended care, please ask about the details of this option. The Little Chief follows a “school year calendar” schedule— September through June— and also offers an exclusive Kindergarten Enrichment Program at each campus. The emphasis is on each child’s individual needs and the rich “hands-on” learning. Your child will enter the elementary school years with a wealth of knowledge acquired through the Kindergarten Enrichment Program. Class size is limited to ensure a low student-to-teacher ratio. Please inquire as to your child’s particular class size. Teachers are certified professionals, who understand and implement a developmentally appropriate philosophy. The organization provides CPR and First Aid training for staff, as well as requires continuing education in three core areas each year: child development and education; guidance and behavior; and health and safety. This is a “peanut free” school and the staff is particularly sensitive to those children with special needs— The Little Chief Learning Station accepts and respects all children.
