Join the fight against cancer by taking part in the George Washington Bridge Challenge! Race across one of the world’s busiest bridges as the American Cancer Society sponsors the event that includes 5K and 10K distances for walkers and runners, as well as cycling routes that range from 4 to 63 miles. Participants receive medals, T-shirts, swag bags, and an invitation to the post-race party. The day-long event begins on June 9 at the Port Authority office in Fort Lee. A Smoking Hot Event
The New Milford Fire Department encourages families in the area to show their support by taking part in the 3rd Annual New Milford Fire Department 5K Run/Walk on June 15. The fundraiser includes a kids’ ½ -mile dash, 150-yard sprint, pre- and post-race activities, and a stroller-friendly course.
