Wee Friends Nursery School and Summer Program was established more than 30 years ago. The school embraces the Chaim Ginot philosophy, which always focuses on the positive. Wee Friends believes that a curriculum should center on the development of the whole child. Wee “friends” are provided with daily hands-on experiences that help them physically, emotionally, socially, psychologically and academically develop. Wee Friends classes run from mommy and me through transition to toddlers, nursery pre-k and full-day kindergarten and kindergarten enrichment. At every level, limited class sizes allow for individual attention. Teachers are certified and very experienced in early childhood education. Wee Friends offers a daily schedule of special subjects that include a full music program, movement/dance, library time and art history— all taught by specialists in their respective fields. The school features a spacious and park-like playground, which includes Peddle-Push Village— a locomotive center with tricycles, mini cars, trucks and playhouses. Wee Friends is a culturally aware school, celebrating all holidays through song, stories and cooking. During the autumn, children love picking their own pumpkins and running through a maze when Farmer Frank sets up his harvest festival; they also look forward to meeting Chief Pishy Wishy and Pilgrim Hanna Poganna in a big teepee.
