The Children’s Aid Society, one of New York’s oldest and largest social service agencies, operates a country day camp at its 52-acre Wagon Road facility in Chappaqua, New York. The camp serves children ages 6-13, and features swimming, athletics, horsemanship, nature study, arts and crafts, dance, drama, music, cooking, adventure ropes course activities, overnights and special events. The camp has two heated pools and provides Red Cross swim lessons taught by certified water safety instructors. Their mission is to provide a quality day camp experience while bringing together a diverse group of children from all over Westchester, Manhattan and The Bronx. With special programming, Wagon Road Camp seeks to build relationships, understanding and citizenship among its campers. Children are placed in small groups and are supervised by experienced counselors, activity specialists and administrators. Seven, four and three-week sessions are available. Fees are reasonable and include lunch and snacks. Transportation and early drop-off/late pick-up are available. For Summer 2011, camp begins Wednesday, June 29, and closes Friday, August 12.
