Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus adjacent to Adelphi University, The Waldorf School of Garden City is a college preparatory, coeducational, independent day school, offering classes from early childhood through grade 12. Age-appropriate curricula are designed to physically, emotionally and intellectually develop the whole child, aiming to maximize the potential capabilities of the child at each stage of development. Teachers foster genuine enthusiasm for learning, respect for the world and a healthy sense of self. Extracurricular programs for older students include varsity sports teams, music, drama and community service. Beginning in grade 3, each class takes an annual class trip to the school’s extension campus at Camp Glen Brook in southern New Hampshire.
