Autism "ABA" Program – Stepping Forward Counseling Centers, Applied Behavior Analysis program known as "ABA" utilize your child's strengths to remediate his/her challenging areas of development. Programs are after school and the team leaders are Board Certified Analysis while having the support of our team of Ph.D's, LCSW and clinicians and other master level clinicians. Core lessons are taught first in the playroom, and then "generalized" to other environments. Clients Generalize Skills in Natural Environments (i.e., home, community, shopping trips, playground, school activities.) Our Interactive Parent Training includes , Hands On, Side by Side" sessions, Behavioral Support Plans and Strategies. SFCC focuses more than usual on helping parents, teachers and program staff to be as reinforcing (rewarding, fun, exciting) as possible so that the child experiences people in their lives as "oh so fun!" While many ABA programs recognize that the attitude of parents and teachers is important, SFCC emphasizes this, including training for parents and teachers (as necessary) to develop optimum attitudes toward set backs, problem behaviors, etc. SFCC uses the latest research and training to be sure you see results!!!
