State Fair Meadowlands is back this year, celebrating its 25th anniversary with electrifying new entertainment, more than 200 thrilling rides, attractions and food vendors from around the country. The fair runs daily from June 24-July 10 in new, larger fairgrounds next to the New Meadowlands Stadium (formerly Giants Stadium). The fair features plenty of free entertainment including Circus Maximus, a 1,800-seat tent circus with thrill shows and animal performances; The Big Cat Show; the Human Slinky; and Kachunga and Alligator Show. Returning favorites include Racing Pigs, magic shows, Master Hypnotist Steve Bayner and spectacular fireworks July 3 and 4— all free with entry ticket. Parking is also free Monday-Wednesday. Also back this year is the original Batcopter and the Sky Ride, a family favorite. With no major construction going on this year at the Sports Complex, there is easy access and egress at the fair. This year’s newly developed fairgrounds features improved wheelchair and stroller accessibility and new climate-controlled restrooms for patrons. Special deals this year include Opening Dollar Night on Friday, June 24; Kids Go Free Night; and Midnight Madness, Friday night from 10pm-2am on July 1 and 8; Cheap-Cheap Night; and Patron Appreciation Day on Sunday, July 10.
