Shawnee Mountain is SNOW delightful! Complete with 23 slopes and trails of every difficulty level from beginner to expert and two terrain parks, this Pennsylvania escape is sure to please the whole family. Shawnee has the Pocono Plunge snow tubing park, with individual and two-person (adult and child) tubing. They also offer tubing birthday party packages; call group sales office for details! Installed in 2011, The Tomahawk Express is a tedatchable four-person chairlift, which whisk skiers and snowboarders to the top of the mountain in just three minutes. Despite its high speed, the new chairlift is very beginner and child friendly, slowing 75 percent for loading and unloading. For children ages 7-15 there are skiing and snowboarding daily programs. Other children’s programs include SKIwee for ages 4-6 and SKIbaby for age 3 & under. Each program lasts 3 or 6 hours daily and includes constant supervision and instruction, lunch and a snack. A variety of accommodations fits the needs of every family from two-three bedroom townhouses and chateaus to condos, villas, The Summit Lodge for groups and the charming Victorian-era Shawnee Inn.
