Children ages 7-17 are once again invited to saddle up for a summer of fun at the newly renovated Seaton Hackney County Stable. Their popular Summer Horsemanship Program is a fun filled, totally wholesome and unique experience that combines expert riding instruction with horse care, trail riding, barn management, Equisthenics, gymkhana games and an optional swimming pool hour. Campers can register for one or two week sessions, either half-day (9am-12:30pm) or full day (9am-3:30pm) riding 2 or 3 times/day respectively, alternating between a ring lesson, a private lungeing lesson and a trail ride. Early drop off and late pick up are available. Several groups will be formed according to age and experience, if any. This intensive, hands-on program culminates in a fun-filled Gymkhana day on Friday. In addition to “Summer Fun,” Seaton Hackney is also home to year round riding instruction, trail riding, an Equishare Program, Winter and Spring Camps, a Troop Riding Program, Joy’s Rusty Riders Club and offers as many as 20 different Continuing Education Horsemanship Badges.
