Programs for Parents is committed to its mission to support children and families by meeting their growing need for skilled and nurturing child care. They believe in using all of their professional skills, research capability, eyes, ears, and creativity to bring an ever-growing range of services to the community. Among the comprehensive services they provide are: Child Care Referrals, Camp Referrals, Family Child Care Registration, Child Care Subsidies for Qualified Families, and Child Care Provider Training & Education. Services are available in English and Spanish for your convenience. At PfP, they know that finding the right child care facility is one of the most difficult decisions a parent will ever have to make. Their professional child care counselors will work one-on-one with parents, introducing them to child care options that meet their specific needs, instruct them how to view each facility and give them a checklist to help them evaluate program features. Families are also encouraged to ask about Programs for Parents’ Child Care Food Program, Child Care Matters montlhy magazine, Child Health Warmline (800-713-9006) and their Saturday at Programs for Parents sessions featuring Music Together. Programs for Parents is designated as the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency for Essex County by the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development.
