The Westfield Summer Workshop, a division of New Jersey Workshop for the Arts, offers classes in arts, crafts, communications, dance, drama, music, musical theater and special interests for students in pre-school to grade 12. All classes are taught by certified teachers and/or professional artists, actors and musicians. Held this year from June 29 to July 29, from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm at Edison Intermediate School on Rahway Avenue in Westfield, a full day program is also available in conjunction with the Westfield YMCA. The WSW includes the Summer Stage Theater, a major musical theater program for students in grades 6 to 12, which will present the rock ‘n’ roll musical Leader of the Pack. The New Jersey Workshop for the Arts also provides year-round classes in music instruction, theater, pre-school art/music and fencing.
