For the past 15 years, Miss Debbie’s Creative Child Care Center has provided a safe, nurturing, educationally stimulating environment for children ages 18 months through kindergarten. At Miss Debbie’s, the philosophy is that by providing childcare, they become a partner with each child’s parents. They strive to create an environment that becomes an extension of the family and provides excitement to a child’s increasing abilities. For young children, this environment establishes a healthy curiosity about their world and reinforces the belief that they are very special people. The Center’s curriculum includes such activities as art, puppetry, drama, math, computers, library, science, music and gym. With enthusiasm and encouragement from their teachers, the children explore and learn valuable concepts through their joyful play. The Center is purely child-based, with music and programs designed for the distinction of children’s maturation levels. Literacy is a prime factor of the curriculum, with stories being read, sung, and acted out with the child’s participation. Miss Debbie’s has continually been recognized as a program of quality and commitment to the excellence of childcare. The Center has also been an important resource for parents with its ongoing workshops and seminars. As a member of the Coalition for Child Care, the Center has received accreditation from The National Association for Education of Young Children. And now Miss Debbie’s is proud to announce a new addition to their program— classes for infants, starting in January! There are future authors, architects, gymnasts, ballerinas, teachers, doctors, lawyers mommies and daddies— all blooming at Miss Debbie’s.
