At Mill Neck Manor School, a high-quality education is offered to children with hearing, speech and language disabilities. In a supportive environment, specially trained teachers, speech therapists and counselors work together to help each child develop a variety of communication skills, self-esteem and confidence. Programs are available for deaf students ages birth-21. Students benefit from specialized communication techniques, up-to-date curriculums and technology resources. Mill Neck Manor also offers an afterschool sports program and extended-day activities to students ages 6-21. The Early Childhood Center, also part of Mill Neck Manor, provides early and intensive assistance to children ages 3 and 4 who are not deaf, but have deficits in hearing, speech and/or language. The Center provides full evaluations of preschool children suspected of having these special needs. Referrals for all programs are initiated by parents, clinics, physicians or school districts. Call to arrange a tour of the campus, located on an estate in the beautiful hills of the North Shore.
