Looking for an afterschool program for your child? The Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center has the answer. The JCC offers a wide variety of early childhood, health and fitness, and aquatics classes for children of all ages— from infants to teens. Are you a working parent? You can have peace of mind with the JCC’s before and afterschool Second Home Day Care Program. Designed for children in grades k-5, the in-building program offers homework assistance/tutoring, computers, enrichment, socialization, free play time, games, videos and snacks. Transportation is provided to and from local Plainview elementary schools by the JCC shuttle. For the sports-minded child, the JCC offers a wide range of gym classes, sports leagues, GaGa, and swim teams. Group and private swimming lessons are available for children ages 6 months and up.
