Maximum Teen Travel Camp is a unique alternative for summer fun! Somewhere between conventional day camp and a teen tour, Maximum Teen Travel Camp covers all bases when it comes to fun and safety. Its well-thought-out, highly supervised summer program is for children ages 10 through 14. Each day, campers experience new activities and visit a different place. Scott Bochner, the camp’s director who has been in camping for more than 35 years, cofounded Maximum Teen Travel Camp in 1986. Expertise was acquired through the student tour business, where they run educational tours, music festivals as well as ski tours. This ACA-accredited and licensed camp is a diverse blend of day and overnight excursions. All buses are air conditioned with home door-to-door pick-ups and drop-offs. Buses are comfortable and driven by professional drivers. During overnight trips, campers are whisked away on DVD-lav-equipped motorcoaches. Counselors are all older than 21 and certified in first aid, CPR, AED and EPI Pen programs. All counselors carry Nextel cell phones for communication. Campers are uniformed in “cool” T-shirts and sweat shirts. They are grouped together based on the activity of the day each day, meaning, if you like all rides, some rides or no rides in an amusement park, then you will enjoy the day in that group. Camper-to-counselor ratio is 8:1 on day trips and 6:1 on overnights. The camp travels with a nurse and a life guard.
