Matawan Montessori is a multi-cultural diversified school offering Montessori Early Childhood Education for ages 2 - 6 years. The school is dedicated to providing an environment where children can explore, develop naturally, cultivate a strong love of learning and ultimately reach their greatest potential. All programs are presented by a highly experienced staff of certified or trained teachers featuring more than 35 years of combined Montessori teaching experience. Classes are available in 3 - 5 full or half day programs as children are introduced to a diverse, well-rounded curriculum consisting of several age-specific programs that are both academic and enrichment based. Children are encouraged to develop at their own pace as they are introduced to subjects such as art, music, physical education and foreign languages like Spanish and Chinese. In the Toddler Programs for children 18 months through 3 years, Matawan Montessori focuses on encouraging each child to do for him/herself in a patient atmosphere that is nurturing, caring and peaceful. The Primary Program for ages 3 - 6 introduces youngsters to an enriched environment that uses a variety of social and academic activities to foster independence, concentration and self-motivation.Matawan Montessori is open Monday to Friday, year round.
