The Manhattan Fencing youth camp program is designed to provide a fun introduction to one of the most fascinating, exciting and safe sports. Fencing develops discipline, balance, coordination, sportsmanship and helps kids develop quicker reflexes. Fencing is not only a recreational activity but will open doors to the best universities in the country, give the opportunity for athletic scholarships and gives all kids a chance to travel the world. Manhattan Fencing came back from Olympics in Beijing with the Silver Medal-highest Men’s Team result in the history of the United States. A typical camp day at Manhattan Fencing will include warm-up activities, fencing instruction, fencing-themed crafts or games, drills, bouting and a tournament on the last day! Day camps are taught by professional fencing instructors who work with Manhattan Fencing’s national champions and with beginner youth classes during the school year. All campers receive top placement priority when signing up for classes during the fall semester. Please visit www.manhattanfencing.com or call (212)382-2255 for daily camp schedule, additional information about the Center’s coaches, programs and registration.
