The Manhattan Fencing youth afterschool program is designed to provide an introduction to one of the most fascinating, exciting and safe sports. Fencing develops discipline, balance, coordination, sportsmanship and helps kids develop quicker reflexes. For a child who may be interested in competitive fencing, the perfect age to begin lessons is between 6 and 12 years old. Fencing is not only a recreational activity but will open doors to the best universities in the country, give the opportunity for athletic scholarships and gives all kids a chance to travel the world.
