Located on the beautiful LIU Post campus, LIU Post Youth Camps feature many large buildings with air-conditioned classrooms, a recreation facility with an amazing indoor swimming pool, nature trails, state-of-the-art computer labs, cooking labs and grassy playing fields. Summer Day Camp is co-ed for children ages 5-14, and it is held in multiple-week sessions from July through August, 9am-3:30pm each day. Children are grouped by age and participate in traditional age-appropriate activities, including art, computers, cooking, dance, drama, music, environmental studies, sports and swimming. Those ages 12-14 take weekly day trips. A C.I.T. program is available for teens ages 15 and 16. Performing Arts Academy Is for campers interested in music. Major Performing Groups include Junior Band or Chorus for grades 5-8 and Senior Band or Chorus for grades 9-12. Campers attend daily sectional lessons and elective classes, such as GLEE, Theory, Musical Theatre, Instrumental Improvisation, etc. Parents may also want to take advantage of extended after-camp hours. Saturday Programs for children ages 5-14 run throughout March to May, from 9am-1pm. Check out the website and discover the greatness of LIU Post!
