Kids Talk is a unique concept in group language therapy. The ultimate goal of all speech and language therapy is carryover and use of appropriate language into all speaking situations. For some children, this does not happen automatically and needs to facilitated externally. Kids Talk was designed to achieve this goal by grouping children with similar needs together. Children are grouped by language skills as well as general age and maturity. Their groups consist of 3 or 4 children working towards the common goal of appropriate social/pragmatic language use with the help of a speech-language pathologist as a facilitator.
