For more than 35 years, the Jericho JC Nursery School has been the hallmark of excellence in the education of children ages 16 months-5 years. Director Susan Bloomberg says her priority is “to provide a quality education in a warm and nurturing environment so that each child can still enjoy being a child and achieving on their own personal level.” Local public schools consider Jericho JC Nursery School to be one of the most preparatory preschool programs. The immaculate facility boasts bright classrooms that are furnished age appropriately. Students experience a diverse curriculum, including math, science, literacy, computers, art, music and movement, cooking and more. Children are encouraged to develop self-confidence and independence, as well as academic, social, and physical skills. The facility boasts a 15,000-square-foot, park-like outdoor playground and a spacious indoor gym. Special events and field trips are throughout the year. Jericho JC Nursery School supports the Jewish faith by celebrating Shabbat, traditions and holidays through special activities, art, music and cooking.
