Campers, ages 5-13, spend the summer aboard the Intrepid for its multi-week, interdisciplinary full-day camp. This engaging enrichment program gives campers the opportunity to learn while having fun challenging their imaginations, designing their own inventions and exploring life aboard an aircraft carrier. Camp Intrepid offers hands-on activities, Museum exhibit exploration and interactive experiences to enhance the camp’s weekly themes of A Pirate’s Life, Intrepid Inventors and Underwater Archeology, to name a few. Campers discover marine life on the Hudson River, become young astronomers, try solar cooking, compete in relay races and enjoy outdoor activities including a boat ride on Circle Line’s “Beast”! Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm from June 13-August 26, 2011. Campers may enroll in as many weeks as fits their summer plans.
