Greentrees Country Day School and Camp provides a warm learning environment, a loving staff, flexible schedules, before and after care, transportation and a year-round program. Since 1988, this family-owned and operated school and camp has been encouraging children to grow physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually through exploration and discovery. Owners, and directors, are always on the premises. Greentrees follows the New York State recommended curriculum. Toddler children (age 2) through those in first grade take part in challenging school activities in this stimulating and creative environment. The curriculum, based on New York State standards and the HighScope philosophy, encourages the use of critical thinking, expressive language and the development of a sense of self-worth and independence. The certified, experienced staff is dedicated to providing a happy, rewarding experience for each child. As a year-round program, Greentrees summer day camp, for ages 2-8 has always focused on the younger child. The summer program offers daily Red Cross swim instruction in a heated in ground pool, arts and crafts, science and nature, sports, tumbling, soccer, karate, summer reading club, music, dance, cooking, special events and more.
