Garvies Point Museum and Preserve is once again offering its popular Children’s Summer Day Camps. These unique, hands-on activities for children ages 5-7 and 8-10, are offered on Tuesday – Friday starting this year on Tuesday, June 30 to August 28. Sessions are held from 9:30am-12:30pm, 1-4pm or children can stay all day from 9:30am-4pm. All themes have been updated plus workshop extended by 2 weeks!

Workshops include:

Nature I (Ages 5-7, 8-10): Pond Investigation, Trees & Leaves, Insects & Spiders, Nature’s Recycling (composting).

Nature II (Ages 5-7, 8-10): Beach Exploration, Animal Habitats, Flowers & Pollination, All About Birds. Geology (Ages 8-11): Rocks & Minerals, Water Erosion, Daytime Astronomy, Fossils, Local Geology.

Native American (Ages 5-7, 8-11): Tools & Artifacts, culture, pottery, games & legends, campfire cooking.

Junior Geologist (Ages 5-7): Discovering Dinosaurs & fossils, rocks & minerals, water erosion, Daytime Astronomy.

Geologist (Ages 8-10): Rocks, Minerals, & Fossils, Erosion, Local Geology, Daytime Astronomy


$150.00 per child for 4 consecutive AM or PM sessions, $300.00 per child for 4 full days.
