East Woods School
East Woods is a co-educational, independent, day school for students in pre-nursery through grade 8, including a full-day kindergarten. It is located on 46 beautiful acres and educates the whole child by providing a rigorous, enjoyable curriculum in a warm and nurturing environment. East Woods has an interdisciplinary approach that allows students to learn through discovery and hands-on experiences. It teaches students how to be scholars, artists, athletes, innovators, leaders, and humanitarians, as well as how — not what — to think. East Woods offers individualized attention and differentiated instruction. It doesn’t follow the common core curriculum, nor “teach to the test.” It expands the academic experience and teaches science, technology, math, foreign language, history, and literature; fosters a sense of community; and encourages a lifelong love of learning and curiosity. In a highly competitive world, East Woods provides students with the advantages they need to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. East Woods students consistently place into top-tier, independent, parochial, and boarding schools, and then they matriculate to the world’s top colleges and universities. With high expectations, standards, and spirits, East Woods provides students with roots and wings.
