Cresskill Performing Arts is a true performing arts center, providing caring, professional teachers from Broadway, choreographers nominated for VMA/MTV awards, and more! Classes include all dance genres: Ballet/Pointe, Hip-Hop, Tap, Musical Theater (triple threat for all ages), Contemporary, Lyrical, Funk, Acting, Improv, Voice, Silks and Hammocks, too. Early childhood classes include: Ballet Beginnings, Jazz Beginnings, Broadway Beginnings, Acting Beginnings, Fencing lessons offered in foil, sabre, epee. NEW! Rhythm Works Integrative Dance classes for students with special needs (Down Syndrome, Autism, CP, low tone) -- everyone deserves the chance to dance! Performance opportunities include a Work-in-Progress show in December, Spring Recital in June, and outreach shows for charity throughout the year. Five performing companies, age 5 - 18, do fundraising and charitable shows for The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation (supports autism programs); A Slice of Hope (funds musicians and pizza parties in homeless shelters); Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, more. School holiday break born to perform camps, fencing camp, summer camps, modern/ballet intensives. Director Betsy Daly and her staff provide students, age 2½ to adult, with the talents of the larger metropolitan area’s best instructors.
